By accessing and using CarCred's services, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Service Description

CarCred provides vehicle history checking services for UK-registered vehicles. Our service includes DVLA data, MOT history, HPI checks, and AI-powered analysis. We aggregate data from official sources but do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of all information.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • •Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • •Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • •Be responsible for all activities under your account

4. Credits and Payments

Our service operates on a credit-based system:

  • •Credits must be purchased before running vehicle checks
  • •Each HPI check consumes one credit
  • •Credits do not expire
  • •All payments are processed securely through Stripe
  • •Credits are non-refundable once purchased

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • •Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • •Attempt to circumvent our credit system
  • •Scrape, copy, or redistribute our data without permission
  • •Interfere with or disrupt the service
  • •Share your account with others

6. Data Accuracy and Liability

CarCred aggregates vehicle data from multiple sources including DVLA, MOT History API, and third-party data providers. While we make every effort to ensure accuracy:

  • •We do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of information from third-party suppliers
  • •Data may contain errors, omissions, or be out of date
  • •Vehicle history reports should be used as one factor in your decision-making process, not the sole basis
  • •We are not liable for any inaccuracies in data provided by third-party suppliers or government databases

We strongly recommend conducting a physical inspection and obtaining professional advice before making any vehicle purchase decision. CarCred is not liable for any decisions made based on our reports, including vehicle purchases or financial losses.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of CarCred are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CarCred shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.

9. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our service at any time without notice. We may also update these terms periodically, and continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these terms. You may close your account at any time, but unused credits will not be refunded.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
